Because our summers are usually very dry, but there is still a lot of precipitation in winter, we decided to build an underground cistern to collect water.
At Amazon we found a 7000 liter flat tank for a very good price.
We paid and no tank arrived. Telephone contact is no longer possible. The suspicion of fraud was confirmed by extensive research on the Internet. The “delivery company” is on the black list of Internet fraudsters.
After a tedious, lengthy search, we finally managed to talk to an Amazon employee. He was sorry, of course, but – unfortunately – it’s your own fault! We had paid to a Spanish account because an Amazon page referred to it … and that wasn’t an Amazon account! The fact that the whole thing looked like a purchase from Amazon is our problem, because the small print indicates that payments can only be transferred to Amazon.
Amazon is well aware of the fraud problem, but does not care. As we found out, this company is going on happily.
AMAZON KNOWLEDGELY OFFERS A PLATFORM TO SCALERS!
NEVER AGAIN AMAZON!
After this experience, we ordered a modular system from a well-known hardware store, had the pit dig deeper and with the help of our son and a friend we were able to bring the 3 tanks into the ground and connect them together.
The water comes from the roofs of the house, the workshop and the barn. After the supply lines had been laid, the pit was filled with excavated soil and gravel. Since the cover only consists of plastic covers, we concreted a shaft all around
With soil and compost we leveled the area all around and sowed new grass.
