Ponta Delgada / Sao Miguel
The approximately 4-acre park was in the middle of the 19th century built by Jose Jacome Correira (1816-86). His palace at the top of the park is now the seat of the Azorean president and must not be entered.
Behind the palace is a kitchen garden and a large glass house. Also the former stables are there.
From the park entrance away on the left is a large pond, behind beautiful discounts surrounded by palm trees and huge trees. A simple wooden pavilion is located on the border wall, which is decorated with beautiful tiles.
