Presentation of the prizes on March 15 at Schloss Dennenlohe

With our garden blog we took part in the garden book prize in the category garden blogs.

Our book “A Garden of Found Objects” for which we unfortunately have not found a publisher, we sent as an e-book, for which, however, there is no category. Supposedly next year! We are curious.

In the afternoon, under the expert and humorous guidance of the lord of the castle, Robert von Süßkind, a visit to a part of the magnificent park was held. Despite rain, many invitees took part in it. From the private garden around the castle through the moon gate you go to the part behind it with large, old trees, where only little is intervened in nature and the adjacent lake. The lake forms an arc to the right, the left side marks an embankment and in front of it is a small river. We could not visit the huge area behind it. Only at the entrance we came over, where on a meter-high cairn the rosarium with about 10,000 roses is located.

In the evening, the prizes of the different categories were presented in the stables. In between there were always hot appetizers, good wine and nice conversation.

Thanks to the good organization and the relaxed atmosphere, this was a very pleasant day.
